When it comes to partnerships that stand the test of time, Wellesley Counseling & Wellness (WCW) holds a special place in the Mindful Admins story. As one of our longest-standing clients, we have had the privilege of watching this incredible practice grow from 8 clinicians to nearly 30, and we have been proud to be part of that journey every step of the way.

Where It All Began

WCW was founded by Emily Lange and Bryan Harnsberger, who had each been running their own individual private practices in Wellesley, MA. While they shared an office space, the work still felt isolating, and they knew there had to be a better way. They set out to build something different: a warm, community-oriented practice that fostered genuine connection and support for clinicians, while providing high-quality, accessible care for clients. Think of it as the "local, mom-and-pop" practice that could be a one-stop shop for therapy needs, without ever losing its personal, human feel.

What they built is exactly that, and then some.

Building the Plane While Flying It

Growth is rarely a straight line, and the team at WCW will be the first to tell you that. "We were building the plane as we were flying it," they shared — developing policies, procedures, and best practices in real time, learning from experience, and staying flexible through the uncertainty. That willingness to take leaps of faith and trust their instincts is a big part of what has made them so successful.

Through it all, one thing has remained constant: their commitment to taking care of their clinicians first. The belief that when clinicians feel supported, connected, and valued, better client care naturally follows has been the backbone of their culture from day one. As the practice has grown, the way they deliver that support has evolved, but the heart of it has never changed.

Five Years of Partnership with Mindful Admins

WCW was connected to Mindful Admins through a trusted referral, Michael Fulwiler, and as they put it, "the proof was in the pudding." From early on, they saw firsthand that Mindful Admins goes far beyond handling admin tasks, bringing reliability, warmth, creative ideas, and a genuine understanding of the therapy space to the table.

And this month's Admin Spotlight, Malarie, is a huge part of that story. Malarie has been WCW's dedicated admin for her entire time with Mindful Admins, three years of seamless support, deep familiarity with the practice, and a working relationship that has only grown stronger over time. As WCW shared, "there's something incredibly valuable about working closely with one person who truly understands your business. Over time, that familiarity makes everything feel seamless and intuitive."

At the same time, they noted that the strength of the broader Mindful Admins team has been equally important, knowing that highly capable support is always available gives them the consistency and reliability they need to keep growing with confidence.

Looking Ahead

Over the next three to five years, WCW envisions becoming a foundational hub within their community, driven by word of mouth, consistently positive client experiences, and a team of clinicians who feel genuinely valued and choose to stay long-term. They are committed to growing thoughtfully, sustainably, and in full alignment with the values that got them here.

Their advice to smaller practices just starting to scale? "Stay grounded in your values, especially when it comes to supporting your clinicians. When clinicians feel genuinely supported, everything else tends to follow."

We couldn't agree more, and we are so honored to continue growing alongside such an incredible team. Here's to many more years of partnership!
